Please note that it is the WINNING TEAM'S responsibility to submit the nightly game sheets! Sheets MUST be emailed by Wednesday @ 11:59 PM of each week.

IMPORTANT : Games sheets not received by the deadline will result in a tie of 2 wins and zero game points being awarded to BOTH teams, no exceptions.
Please ensure to bring your own Gamesheets to your game in case there are no extras in the volleyball bags.

Timeouts are NOT ALLOWED in the last 5 minutes of gameplay

Substitutions ARE ALLOWED in the last 5 minutes of gameplay as long as it does not delay the game

Teams are permitted to play with 5 (five) players for a full match (4 games), however, the Ghost Rule is in effect. Captains must announce to the REFs which player the "ghost" will be following
GHOST RULE CLARIFICATION: "Ghost" starts in position 6, there are always 3 players in front court, and 2 in back, lose point (serve) when "ghost" is due to serve.
- Only players listed on each team's roster shall be eligible to play in playoffs.

ROSTERS / WAIVERS/ PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
Each team is responsible for ensuring its roster and signed waivers are submitted to the League Convenor by the required deadline.
Under Article 6(a) and 6(c) of the ALVA Constitution, teams must:
Submit an initial roster containing a minimum of six (6) players, along with signed waivers, by the first game night.
Ensure the League Executive has received the team's required documentation.
Keep their roster current throughout the season.
Submit updated roster documentation whenever new players are added.
Non-Compliance & Penalties
The ALVA Constitution establishes the following requirements and potential consequences:
Article 6(a): Teams without the required initial roster and signed waivers by the first game night are not permitted to play.
Article 6(c): Players may be deemed ineligible and games may be forfeited after the fact when current signed roster requirements are not met.
Article 6(e): Teams violating membership, player eligibility, or roster eligibility requirements will face a penalty deemed appropriate by the Executive.
Team Duties (k): Violations discovered during the current round result in defaults of applicable games. Violations discovered at a later date are considered individually, with possible financial penalties or playoff disqualification.

IMPORTANT!! ROSTERS / WAIVERS/ PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
Teams may add new players to their roster up to and including the last play date at the end of January. Team rosters need to be updated whenever a new player is added. The League Convener shall hold all team rosters. Edits/additional rosters should be handed in nightly with the game sheets and will be filed with previous team rosters.
